Gun cartridges. - Relates to combined electric and percussion ordnance primers provided with a flash-back obturating valve, and consists in arranging all the elements of the electric and percussion igniters as a single unit in a single chamber behind the flash-back obturating valve 3. An electric igniting filament 15 is stretched between a rod 11 and a socket 14, which contains a detonating charge 16 and is fitted into the front end of an insulating sleeve 10. The rear end of the sleeve embraces an anvil block 8 and a percussion cap 12 with its charge 13. The sleeve, together with the parts it embraces, may be firmly secured by a screwed ring 17. The rod 11 is in contact with the block 8, which is insulated by the sleeve 10 and a washer 9.
