251,681. MacLaurin, J. D., and Mac Laurin, D. Feb. 2, 1925. Coating processes. - Apparatus for coating paper or other materials comprises a series of spraying units b alternating with dryers d. Each unit comprises a number of spraying nozzles i, the spraying being effected by means of compressed air and the unit being carried by a depending arm j which may receive a jigging movement. The spraying takes place over pneumatic tables c and the various units may be arranged so that both sides of the paper &c. are coated. The first spray consists of a lower grade or cheap filler and the later sprays are high grade fluid such as enamel of satin white.
