Abstract

Gins.-Ginning-rollers for a Macarthy gin are formed from a mixture of coir or like fibres and paper or wood pulp moulded by hydraulic pressure into the form of a roller, which can be mounted on a square spindle. The roller when dry is trued on a lathe. The mixture may be moulded as a sleeve to be secured to a wooden roller.
