Abstract

183,661. Stedman, G. June 9, 1921. Memorandum appliances.-A memorandum appliance comprises a paper roll 4 mounted in a pair of slotted brackets 2 attached to a block 1 of wood or other material over which the paper is unwound, the free end being held against the block by a transverse bar 6; another retaining- bar 5 may be located near the brackets 2. The slots in the brackets are sufficiently deep to allow the paper roll to rest on the block; to increase the pressure on the face of the block the brackets may be inclined as shown in Fig. 1, or a spring 7 may be provided as shown in Fig. 4. The bar 6 covers a finger-recess in the block to facilitate drawing the paper forward, and has its front edge shaped to provide a cutting-edge.
