Lantern screens. -A translucent or coloured light filter c of celluloid, mica, glass, &c., for filtering the light from the lower half of the reflector of a vehicle lamp is formed with a central part A extending higher than the source of light, and may be a permanent part of the lamp glass or attached thereto, e.g. by a suction cup F. The filter may be preferably coloured blue.
