Abstract

Infant supporting apparatuses and methods of assembling a flexible member thereto are described comprising using an attachment fixture 121 that can be detachably secured with a first support segment of a support frame 112, 114. The infant supporting apparatus, such as a stroller or crib, comprises a support frame having a plurality of restricting grooves 124, and a flexible element, such as seat fabric 111 or canopy (132, figure 6) having a side edge portion along which is affixed the attachment fixture, said fixture possibly having an elongated shape. The attachment fixture includes a plurality of latch members, such as studs 123 or rivets (126, figure 5), operable to respectively engage with the restricting grooves, whereby the side edge portion is detachably assembled with the first support segment. Methods for assembling a flexible member such as a seat fabric and canopy in the infant supporting apparatus are also described. The canopy also comprising a clamp arrangement (figure 7) to secure it to the support frame.
