Abstract

246,617. Cheetham, H. W., and Cheetham, J. W. Nov. 24, 1924. Pie-moulding machines. -Relates to machines of the kind in which a cutting-off blade is carried by the pressing block &c. and comprises a rotary member adapted to impart longitudinal movement to the cutter. As shown, a support 4, secured by hooks 5 to the operative part of the machine, houses the die 3, which is connected by a bar 8 to an annular member 7 furnished with a handle 9. An annular cutter 6 disposed between the members 4, 7 is furnished with vertical slots p embracing pins m on the member 4 and inclined slots g engaging projecting screws 81 on the member 7. In operation, after the moulding operation, the member 7 is turned, thereby turning the die 3 to free it from the dough and simultaneously depressing the cutter 6 through the slots g. The mould 2, Fig. 5, is held against rotation by projections a, b engaging openings in the table.
