Abstract

A bib (1) for a child (3) in a high chair(5) that protects the lower half of a child wearing the- bib and at least part of the high chair. The bib is attached to the child and extends to cover at least a portion of the child below the waist, preferably over the feet and a footrest of the high chair. The bib may simply hang over the child' s feet or alternatively be shaped to retain the feet and the footrest. By wearing the bib the legs and feet of a child are protected from spillages. The bib is also adapted so as to protect the straps (133) of the high chair and prevent the ingress of food etc. into the straps or onto the seat, thereby extending the life of the high chair.
