Abstract

Disclosed is a combination of an imputable electronic data storage, retrieval and display device and a suitcase, briefcase or like travel bag, in which the display device is mounted to the suitcase. The display device may have sole electronic functionality, being the storage, retrieval and display of the following information: user name, flight number, departure location, destination, destination address, travel date, contact telephone number. The display device is mounted to a dedicated mount on an outer wall of the suitcase which may be made in part of foam rubber padding to protect the display device from impact. The dedicated mount features a transparent cover with a zip which can be closed over the display device once mounted. The display device may feature alphanumeric and/or numeric input keypads. The display information may be presented in the form of a light emitting diode (LED) matrix. The display device is in the region of 0.5cm in thickness.

The electronic device will record and memorise the information input The information stored permanently in the device is listed below 1. Name 2. Flight number 3.departed from 4.destination 5. Hotel/address 6. Date of travel 7.contact phone number when the device is switched on you will be prompted by L.E.D light to enter you name when that information is input and the enter key is pressed it Will prompt you to the next category flight number and so on when you have recorded all the information requested by pressing the memory key all the information input will be stored. In the event of a input error press cancel and the information will be erased by individual letters or numbers.
The case or suitcase will have the device on the back or the front of it which allows the device to be accessible from the outside of the case or briefcase. The device will sit on a foam base or cushion witch will act as a shock absorber, the cover will also have foam or a cushion whIch will act in the same way as the foam or cushion the device is sitting on. The device can be removed from its compartment for the input of information.
the electronic device is powered by battery and all information is stored in a micro chip the device cannot be used as a calculator or to input multiple addresses as only one address can be stored.
