Kinematograph apparatus.-In continuous-feed apparatus wherein the objective comprises two lenses having perpendicular axes, and optical compensation is effected by means of an oscillating mirror placed near the intersection of the axes, the lenses are fixed and the mirror is placed at the apex of the luminous beam; the oscillation of the mirror may be effected by a cam capable of being moved by hand, or of being automatically controlled by the film, so as to vary the movement of the mirror. As shown in Fig. 1, the mirror M is placed at I between the lens O of the objective and the normal position O<1> of the second lens of the objective, the second lens being actually placed at 0'. The mirror may be oscillated by a cam K, Figs. 3 and 4, engaging a spring-controlled lever Q, and constructed to effect, once or more during each revolution, a uniform turning movement of the mirror during compensation and a quick return movement. The cam K is tapered and may be axially moved by a lever L to vary the angular movement of the mirror, the lever being operated bv hand or by a spring-pressed lever carrying a roller bearing on the film between the roller C and a toothed sprocket which is driven in unison with the driving sprocket 3 and is provided between the roller C and the spool A. The mirror may be replaced by a prism, and a prism or mirror may be provided to divert the projection beam emerging from the objective into a direction parallel to the entering beam. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a gate curved' about the point I. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
