Cartridge magazines.-Relates to drum magazines in which the cartridges are fed along spiral tracks by a radial arm 10 of variable length which is rotated by a spiral spring assisted at the beginning of the feeding movement by an auxiliary spring, and consists in forming the auxiliary spring as a helix a surrounding the shaft 8 of the feed-arm 10 and having projecting radial ends b, c, one b of which is anchored against the end of one of the spiral guides 4 while the other c engages a cross-piece 22 on the end. of the feed-arm when the arm is sufficiently shortened. The auxiliary spring assists the main spiral spring, which is contained in a drum 13, for about half a revolution when the magazine is full.
