Abstract

539,414. Automatic guns. KENDALL, W. D., and BRITISH MANUFACTURE & RESEARCH CO., Ltd. Nov. 16, 1939, No. 30221. [Class 92 (ii)] Drum magazines particularly for quick-firing cannon and of the known kind comprising end plates 10, 11 attached to a cylindrical or slightly conical casing 12 by rods 14, the end plates having spiral guides 10b, 11b for the ends of the cartridges which are fed to the magazine outlet by a radial spring-pressed telescopic arm 26. According to the invention, the spiral guides are formed integral with the end plates which are in the form of die castings.
