Abstract
245,014. Isaacson, E. T. June 24, 1925. Geographical or universal clocks; dials.-A clock comprises in combination with a fixed globe 16, stationary pointers 26 and rotating hour and minute annular dials 29, 31. The hour and minute dials respectively are supported by radial stays 28 and 30 on the end of the shafts 9 and 10, driven from the clockwork 2. The globe is of glass and opaque except for a transparent band revealing the dials but only the hour dial is visible at the rear of the globe. The upper half of the globe is removable and is held in place by a semi-circular band 21, stud 22 and nut 23. At the lower end the globe has serrations 18 fitting corresponding serrations 15 on the casing 1 so that by loosening the clamping collar 19 and the nut 23 the entire globe may be adjusted relatively to the fixed pointers 26 which are in one with band 21 and members 24, and are fixed to the frame pillars 11.
