Abstract

Indicating-mechanism. - In an indicating mechanism for weighing scales of the kind wherein the index finger or pointer is moved through an arc at right-angles to the plane of motion of the weigh-beam, the e indicating pointer is formed with a cranked or looped portion through which the weighbeam can pass and oscillate without interference. As shown, a pair of index pointers 16 are carried by a loop 15 attached to a lever 10 which is provided with an adjustable counterweight 14. The lever 10 is arranged at right-angles to the weighbeam 3 and is coupled thereto by a link 9 engaging conical bearing pins. The weighbeam is thus permitted free movement within the loop without interference from the pointers. Instead of a loop, the pointer may be formed with an open-sided rectangular portion. -.
