Mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-In a headlamp C of a motor vehicle the electric lamp bulb 14 is carried by a socket 13 to which is connected a bracket 14 slidably engaging an angular bracket 15 carried by a sleeve 11 on an upwardly or downwardly tiltable reflector 10. The bulb may be adjusted longitudinally for focusing purposes by means of a screw 17 passing through the bracket 16 and journaled in the bracket 15.
