WATCH
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
(a) Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a structure of watch, and more particularly to the mounting of an adjusting head related to an adjusting means of an indicator.
(b) Description of the Prior Art
Watch is a tool for showing the change of time. People have further recognized the importance of time in the fast changing world particularly.
Accordingly, a tool such as a sundial, an hourglass, a water clock, or even the current watch including the so-called wristwatch, pocket watch, or chain watch has been developed to enable the people to know the time. Moreover, with progress of time and promotion of the quality of life, the watch has been evolved from providing the initial utility function into representing social position, wealth, and beautiful appearance.
Every watch including the wristwatch, the chain watch, or the pocket watch is provided with a shell, and an adjusting head on the edge of the shell, wherein an extension rod is extended inwardly from the adjusting head to a bracket of a movement component for being connected to an adjusting means of an indicator inside the movement component. By rotation of the adjusting head, the adjusting means is therefore driven so as to correct the error of the indicator. However, this kind of adjusting head is protrudent out of the edge of the shell of watch so it brings the bad affection to the appearance and the integrity of the watch. In the daily life, the tender clothes such as silk stocking, lace, and silk shirt are usually hooked and broken by the protrudent adjusting head because of careless. In addition, for this reason, the adjusting head is pulled out easily and thus stretched out for a length to exceed the safe length, by which the displayed indicatory time of the watch may be adjusted incidentally. Accordingly, the inconvenience is caused.
With the evolution of watch from the mechanical watch into the quartz watch, the technology and the accuracy of the watch are improved. According to statistics, the error of the mechanical watch is about several seconds per day. However, the error of the quartz watch is about several seconds per month. Accordingly, there is seldom a need to correct the time. Moreover, the watch is a kind of precision instrument so it is more proper to adjust the watch by the expert.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In view of the aforementioned deficiencies caused by the conventional structure, the present inventor provides a structure of watch to provide the shell of the watch with flat and smooth appearance and to prevent the watch from causing daily life inconvenience.
Meanwhile, the indicator of the watch is still adjustable.
In order to cure the aforementioned deficiencies, a structure of watch is provided. The watch comprises a shell, a bracket covered by the shell for holding a movement component, and a back cover for covering the backside of the bracket. A chamber is defined by a wall of the bracket for mounting the movement component. The movement component is mounted on the inside of the chamber. An adjusting means for adjusting an indicator is extended from the movement component. A through hole is formed on the wall to enable the connection between an adjusting head and the adjusting means for adjusting the indicator. The feature of the watch consists in that the adjusting head is mounted on the inside of the shell and connected to the adjusting means to provide the shell of the watch with a flat and smooth edge.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG. I is an elevational view of the present invention.
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing the assembled structure of the present invention.
FIG. 3 is an exploded, elevational view of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
The description taken with the drawings make the structures, features, and embodiments of the present invention apparent to those skilled in the art how the present invention may be embodied in practice.
Referring to FIG. I through FIG. 3, the present invention pertains to a structure of watch. The watch I comprises a shell II, a bracket 12 covered by the shell 11 for holding a movement component 123, and a back cover 13 for covering the backside of the bracket 12.
A chamber 122 is defined by a wall 121 of the bracket 12 for mounting the movement component 123. The movement component 123 is mounted on the inside of the chamber 122. An adjusting means 124 for adjusting an indicator is extended from the movement component 123. In addition, a through hole 125 is formed on the wall 121 to enable the connection between an adjusting head 126 and the adjusting means 124 for adjusting the indicator.
The adjusting head 126 is mounted on the inside of the shell 11 and connected to the adjusting means 124 to provide the shell 11 with a flat and smooth edge.
It is worth mentioning that a terminal 127 of the adjusting head 126 may be extended to the outside of the wall 121 and sleeved to the adjusting means 124 via an extension rod 128. Otherwise, the adjusting head 126 may be sleeved to the adjusting means 124 via an extension rod 128 on the through hole 125 of the wall 121.
The present invention provides the following efficacy and advantage, in which: 1. The shell of the watch is provided with flat and smooth appearance so as to prevent the watch from causing daily life inconvenience in, for example, breaking the clothes or other object.
2. The prevent invention can reduce the possibility that the watch hurts the skin.
3. Instead of removing the function of adjustment, the present invention keeps the indicator of the watch adjustable.
4. The adjusting head is mounted on the inside of the shell of the watch so as to prevent the general person from making an adjustment in the indicator, As a result, the processes for opening the back cover and handling the precise components are only performable by an expert.
5. The watch has become a superficial characteristic for representing present people's status and beautiful appearance besides acting as a timekeeper. Moreover, the error occurred on a general quartz watch is about five seconds per year so the quartz watch has become the main stream of watch. However, the waterproofing function is very important for the quartz watch. In the present invention, the adjusting head is mounted inside the shell of the watch so the water penetration caused by mounting of the adjusting head outside the shell is prevented, thereby enhancing the waterproofing function of the watch.
6. The adjusting head is mounted inside the shell of the watch so the complicated manufacturing processes such as forming a hole on the shell, mounting the adjusting head (i.e., the so-called sleeving procedure), and mounting an waterproof pad (packing) can be prevented, thereby preventing the occurrence of misalignment during the assembling procedure for further achieving efficacy in saving manpower, reducing cost, and rapid assembly.
On the basis of the description mentioned above, the present invention indeed satisfies requirements for patentability, and is therefore submitted for a patent.
With the invention thus explained, it is apparent that various modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. It is therefore intended that the invention be limited only as indicated in the appended claims.
