Abstract

242,913. Wainman, A. June 25, 1925. Bedsteads convertible into seats; seat-adjustments; collapsable seats; folding bedsteads. - A settee, Fig. 2, convertible into a bed, Fig. 3, is provided with pivoted arms B and legs C, having engaging elements such as the teeth H, J, so that when the arms B are turned outwards and downwards, the length of the settee is increased and the level of the base frame A is raised so that the article becomes suitable for use as a bed. In an intermediate position the article may be used as a divan. Fig. 5 shows the convertible settee in its collapsed condition. A detachable back may be provided.
