Abstract

242,440. Mann, A. Nov. 12, 1924. Post files; attaching files to covers; covers. - In loose-leaf binders of the kind having filing-posts carried by bars which are detachably mounted in the cover, the back of the cover is provided with members engaging the ends of the bars, one member being adapted to be opened or closed to permit detachment of the bars. The back a has side flanges b and end members h, i having ribs l for engaging the shaped ends m of the bars j carrying the filing-posts j<1>, the member i being pivoted at i<1> to the flanges b and being looked by means of spring bolts n mounted in the rib l and adapted to engage apertures n<2> in the flanges b. On releasing the bolts, by means of finger-pieces n<3> or a key, the member i can be raised to permit detachment of the bars j. The covers d, Fig. 3, may be hinged to the back by means of plates c having loops g engaging sleeves mounted in slots e in the flanges b. The back may have a cross rib for engaging notches in the leaves k.
