Abstract

241,816. Baker, W. May 2, 1925. Casements.-A folding casement window consists of two sashes hinged together at 2 and provided at the opposite edges with guide-rollers 17 engaging recessed guides 11 in the top and bottom of the frame. The rollers are carried on an extension 16 to a rightangled plate 15 hinged to a similar plate secured to the sash, and the slot in which the extension 16 slides is closed by an L-shaped plate 19 on the sash. The windows are fastened in the closed position by a handle 8 slidably mounted on the hinge-pin 3 and provided with a catch 9 adapted to engage the plate 10 which covers the guideway. The hinge-pins 3 are removable to allow the sashes to be reversed for cleaning. The meeting edges of the sashes and of the sashes and frame have a tongue-andgroove engagement.
