Abstract
Quinine bisalicylosalicylate is prepared by bringing together in aqueous solution an acid quinine salt, e.g. quinine bisulphate, and a soluble salt of salicylosalicyclic acid, in the proportion of one molecule of the former to two of the latter. The quinine bisalicyclosalicylate, which is nearly insoluble in water, separates out and is dried at a temperature not exceeding 60 DEG C. It melts at 86 DEG to 88 DEG C. and has therapeutic properties.
