Abstract

The traffic cone comprises a cone-shaped body 2 and a light 1 which can be secured to the top of the cone in a friction fit. The light includes a solar panel which charges an integral battery during daylight hours. The light may be turned on and off in response to light levels detected by a light sensor.

Description

THE DECRIPTION. 1.
This is a flashing cone top traffic warning hazard light, which is powered by a solar panel at the top of the light.
The light consists of a light 1. And a hollow cone 2. Both of which form the light as a whole.
The light is designed to fit over the top of a cone type that is used to indicate road or other works that are taking place. This form of fitting is achieved by friction with the host cone.
The design comes from considerations and observations of existing hazard lights.
The objective being to create a light that is more efficient, reliable, also, maintenance free, And offers a better safety warning feature.
The cone light gives illumination through 360' Charging of an integral battery takes place during daylight hours. A sensor switches the light on at a certain light level, and off, when the Level of natural light increases. The light can be switched offwhen not in use, but will continue to charge if exposed to daylight level.
The light ensures a stable and constant fixing platform. Together with improved visibility of The warning light.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIMS. 3.
The solar cone top hazard warning light, consists of a solar powered flashing light, and a Cone shaped body.
The light is self charging during daylight hours.
The light does not require frequent battery replacement.
The light can be switched off, but will continue to charge itself if exposed to bright light.
The light has an all round visibility of 360' The light fits over the host cone, forming a friction fit. Making it stable in this mode.
There is no horizontal movement when in position.
The light has a sensor which switches the device on when light diminishes and offwhen Light increases. This would be activated in fog or mist conditions.
    The light is maintenance free.
The light offers greater reliability together with better resolution and visibility, enhancing a better safety factor.
