240,585. Bates, S. M. L., and Graham, A. J. July 22, 1924. Leg coverings. - A plain close-fitting leg covering 1 to be worn over the stocking and inside the boot or shoe to protect the wearer against damp and dirt is made with an incomplete foot portion 2 and is preferably made in one piece and seamless and is preferablv of an elastic character. Various constructions of foot portions are described. In one construction an instep portion and heel and toe pouches are provided without a foot bottom. In another construction the heel pouch is dispensed with. In a further modification an instep portion is alone provided and a strap portion for passing beneath the foot. Specifications 22572/93 and 205,380 are referred to.
