Abstract

237,540. Piesch, K. May 15, 1925. Spring wheels. - Radially disposed zig-zag springs 12 are fitted between the hub of a, wheel and a channel-rim 24. Tapering leaves 19, 20, 21, form the hub ends of each spring and fit dove-tailed grooves 11 in a hub-ring 10, the outer ends of the springs being thickened by laminations 29 which are bolted to the rim 24. A demountable tyre-carrying rim is secured between a flange 25 on the rim 24 and lugs 27 secured by bolts 28, and the hub-ring 10 is clamped between a fixed flange 13 on the hub 14 and a loose flange 15.
