Description

"Double-Ended Roll-Ball Oil Dispensing Massage Apparatus" FIELD OF THE INVENTION : The present invention relates to a Double-Ended Roll Ball Oil Dispensing Massage apparatus for personal self massage or by others, including Masseurs and Aroma Therapists.
DEFINITIONS in this citation: Roll-Ball Dispenser: A disposable package or container embodying a"roll-ball" partially captive in a supporting Neck-Ring located in the outlet aperture of the container currently containing"anti-perspirant deodorant"only and generically known as "Roll-on Deodorants".
Roll-Ball Massai ! er : A massager embodying a partially captive"roll-ball"essential for its massage operation.
Massage Oil: Includes massage lubricants, lotions, creams, and oils.
Double-Ended Roll-ball : Having a Roll-Ball at each axially opposite end of container. Synovial fluid A clear, viscid self healing, lubricating fluid secreted by membranes in joint cavities, sheaths of tendons, and bursae beneath the skin-the proper manipulation of the Synovial fluid is beneficially important in osteopathic remedial massage
techniques.
EXISTING STATE OF THE ART : Massage Lotions : Recently an ever increasing variety of massage oils, particularly Aroma Therapy massage oils, are available on sale in a variety of containers but unfortunately none yet with means for applying the lubricant other than with ones fingers which is messy.
Roll-Ball Massai ! ers : Over the years numerous forms of roll-ball massagers have been on sale for rolling back and forth over the skin, simulating Osteopathic remedial massage techniques of moving and stimulating the synovial fluid with outstanding benefits, but none yet provided with massage oil dispensing means.
Roll-Ball Dispensers: Also, for over 25 years numerous roll-ball dispensers have been available on the market all containing"anti-perspirant deodorant"-not a massage oil.
PRIOR ART-SHORTCOMINGS : Massage Lotions: Applying massage oils by hand is a guessing game, messy and inconvenient-having to wash and dry one's hands repeatedly before and after each massage can lead to stress, frustration and dermatological problems.
Roll-Ball Massasers : Excessive use of rolling back and forth over the skin without a lubricant can lead to damaged skin, defeating the beneficial osteopathic effects of the roll-ball massage. So, without built in provision for a lubricant dispensing means there is always the temptation to use roll-ball massagers dry with detrimental side effects.
Availability of Roll-Ball Dispensers : At time of filing none of the roll-ball disposable packages on the market are available containing massage oils, nor available embodying specific means for use as massagers. Merely filling existing roll-on deodorant dispensers with massage oils is inadequate because such an apparatus would lead to excessive oil being delivered during a massage, causing wastage, mess, spillage onto clothing, furnishing etc. , expense and inconvenience.
Prior Art-No Patent Anticipations : At the time of filing, patent searches carried out on the Derwent World Patent Index Database show no anticipations for a Double-Ended Oil Dispensing Roll-Ball Massage apparatus. Also, there has never been available a rollball dispenser on the market containing products other than anti-perspirant deodorant.
INVENTIVE STEP/OBJECT The object and inventive step of the present invention is to overcome the short comings in the present state of the art, by providing a Double-Ended Oil Dispensing Roll-Ball Massage apparatus for personal self massage, one end for an oil dispensing Roll-Ball massage and the other for a Roll-Ball massage without oil being dispensed.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION : A Double-Ended Roll-Ball Oil Dispensing Massage apparatus for personal self massage, or by others, comprising two roll-balls, each with its own supporting neck-ring connected to the axially opposite ends of a partitioned container, the partitioned container preferably containing Massage Oil on one side only of the partition, so provided that one Roll-Ball is used for an oil dispensing Roll-Ball massage and the other Roll-Ball used for a Roll-Ball massage without oil being dispensed.
Uses & Advantages : 1. Simulates the outstanding beneficial Osteopathic remedial massage techniques of a rolling ball moving and stimulating the body's own self healing Synovial fluid, without the dry skin roll ball massage damage to patient by dispensing a controlled release of massage lubricant during massage.
2. Overcomes the inconvenience of applying messy, staining, massage oils by hand plus nuisance of repeatedly having to wash-off oily hands, which can lead to dry and rough skin problems.
REFERENCE TO DRAWINGS : Figure I is a typical Double-Ended Oil Dispensing Roll-Ball Massage apparatus invention showing the two roll-balls, each with its own supporting neck-ring and container with only one container with Massage Lotion.
Figure 2 shows an optional embodiment wherein the neck-rings are integral with the body of the container.
Figure 3 is an alternative embodiment of the Double-Ended Oil Dispensing Roll-Ball Massage apparatus fitted with a rotary disc valve between the neck-ring and container with Massage Lotion.
Figure 4 is a perspective cut away illustration of the invention showing the flat ended screw-on caps to enable the apparatus to stand upright on either cap, as well as the central, internal, tubular, sealing collar.
Figure 5 is a further enhancement showing internal electric vibrator embodiments.
Figure 6 is an optional enhancement showing rotary disc valve flow control means provided for both Roll-Ball neck rings, with a different massage oil contained in each side of the partitioned container, to enable the apparatus to be used with two different massage oils whilst still enjoying the advantage of being able to control and shut off the supply of oil to either Roll-Ball.
