Abstract
235,903. Rieseler, H. June 21, 1924, [Convention date]. Hydraulic transmission of power. - In a hydraulic transmission gear comprising an axially movable centrifugal pump, one or more driven blade rims, a positive clutch and guide blade rims, automatic means are provided for locking and releasing the guide blade rims. In the form shown, the guide blade rims 14, 15, for reverse drive, are carried by a member 16, which is moved axially by the liquid pressure when the reverse drive is in operation, so as to be secured to a casing 18 through a clutch 19. Guide blade rims 22 for forward drive are. carried by the casing 18 or similarly locked to the casing when the forward drive is in operation. The controlling lever 4 has an extension, which releases the casing 18 to permit it to rotate when the driving and driven shafts are connected by a clutch 9, but at other times operates means for clutching it to a fixed member 23.
