Abstract
A box for paper tissues has an upper aperture (2) formed by an oval tear out portion through which tissues may be dispensed from within a polythene bag within the box and a similar lower aperture (4) in a base through which used tissues may be inserted for disposal. The box may be formed from cardboard.
Description
2357494 HYGIENIC PAPER TISSUE DISPOSAL.
This invention relates to hygienic paper tissue disposal.
There are various types of boxed paper tissues on the market which have many uses.
A rectangular box, made of thin cardboard, cDntains numerous stacked paper tissues. The box-top has a perforated, oval shape for removal of individual tissues which are pulled out thpough a small aperture in the plastic lining of the lid. A similar structure on the base would allow soiled tissues to be inserted.
However, none an sale, provides for this disposal of sailed tissues. Tissues are often, hurriedly stuffed into pookets, handbags or up sleeves. This is an annoyance and, if even one is inadvertently put into the washing-nachine, a disaster.
According to this Invention, hygienic stowage and disposal is provided by placing fresh tissues into a polythene bag, sticking It to the inside of the box-top. A small aperture allows tissue removal. The polythene bag hangs freely inside the box with space below for sailed tissue disposal. Removal of a perforated oval shape, (as an box-top), allows sailed tissue to be inserted through small aperture in plastic-lined base. As more tissues are used, space increases to accommodate then.
Figure 1, shows top of box with perforated oval to be removed when starting to use the tissues. The base is Identical to allow insertion of used tissues.
Figure 2 shows suspension of bag of tissues Inside box. -jr V, In order to use tissues, perforated oval 1 is removed from top. An identical one Is removed from base for soiled tissue insertion.
Tissues are pulled through small aperture 2 in plastic lined top 3 and soiled ones are pushed through similar aperture 4 In base.
As the bag is loosely suspended, as fresh tissues are removed from the top, soiled ones can be stowed below it.
Claims (5)
1. A rectangular box, nade of thin cardboard containing stacked paper tissues, with a plastic-lined, perforated, oval shape an top allows individual removal of unused tissues and a similar structure underneath, allows insertion and stowage of soiled tissues.
2. A rectangular tissue box, as claimed in Claim 1. where, unused tissues are enclosed in a polythene bag suspended in the box to ensure no possible contact with soiled tissues..
3. A rectangular tissue box as claimed In Claim 2. can store all soiled tissues separate from unused tissues and, when all tissues have been used, can be disposed of as a sealed item.
4. A tissue box as claimed In Claim 3. thus eliminates contact by person or clothing of possibly harmful bacteria.
5. A tissue box as claimed in Claim 4, does not need a larger box than normal as, with each usage, a soiled tissue takes up space it occupied before use.
