Set-off, preventing; blankets.-The fabric C is passed between a printing-roller and a wire gauze web A serving as an ink-absorbing element. The ink absorbed is removed by brushes, and a. washing-device E, and the web A is dried by a drying-drum F or by a heated chamber. The web A may be coated with a plastic substance such as rubber. The invention is shown applied to a machine of the type comprising a large impression cylinder B and an endless impression blanket D; the latter, however, may be omitted.
