Universal joints for coupling the track wheels of locomotives and similar vehicles with driving gear-wheels. Links are employed to connect spider arms on a floating sleeve with similar arms on the gear-wheel and track-wheel, respectively, as in the parent Specification. The links are flexible and comprise discs 31, with spherical or other curved interengaging surfaces arranged between a central block 30 and end abutments 35 sliding in recesses in the spider arms 9, 10. Rings 32, 33 preferably arranged in two layers support the discs and may be arranged to limit their lateral movement. The curved surfaces may be formed of different curvatures on opposite sides of the points of contact.
