Regulating.-The duration of opening of a fuelinjection valve is varied, while maintaining the moment of opening constant, by movement of the cam bowl 3 along an inclined plate 5 which is shaped parallel to the acting surface of the cam. The bowl 3 is controlled by a link 8 and arm 9.
