Abstract

232,848. Joice, W. Sept. 5, 1924. Wire resistances, cored. - An electric heating element comprises several sections A of mica or other suitable material, which are held edge to edge, and a resistance wire D which is interwoven with the sections, passing over and under alternate sections. The sections are held with their edges B closely abutting as the wiring proceeds, so that recesses C are formed by the coils which hold the turns of the wire correctly spaced.
