Abstract

A belt which goes round a childs waist has a lockable buckle and is attached to a strap which is looped to be securely fastened around adult/guardians wrist. The loop can be tightened with a buckle which allows adjustment to any size wrist.

Description

Description The Safety strap is made out of tight nylon webbing, with a plastic, lockable mechanism that is locked by either key or combination. This goes around the childs waist and locks (as in diagram part A).
Attached to this by a tough webbed loop is a strap (as in diagram part B) which goes to the adults wrist and has a buckle which allows it to be pulled tight.
This allows the child to be securely attached to the aduR without holding hands and the risk that the child may be pulled away or wriggle free is prevented.
It also allows the adult to e.g., get money out of a purse, or hold a bag, without the fear or worry of losing the child.
Ideal for ages 3 - 10 yeanLQld (This is not a baby harness)

Claims (5)

  1. THE CLAIMS 1. A lockable safety strap that is adjustable to go around a child to secure the child with a strap that is also adjustable to be attached securely to the adult.
  2. 2. A lockable belt as stated in claim 1 that links into part of the childs clothing or round the body is attached to the adults wrist and has a buckle which allows it to be pulled tight and can not slip off the wrist.
  3. 3. A lockable belt/strap a5 stated in claim 1 & 2 is made out of tight nylon webbing. with a plastic lockable mechanism that is locked by either key or combination that goes around the childs waist or through the clothing acting as a belt and locks.
  4. 4. As stated in claim 1,2, & 3 a simple strap with two loop ends that can be added to the strap/belt to make it into a fuLl harness.
  5. 5. As stated in claim 1,2,3, & 4 Attached to this by a tough webbed loop is a strap which goes to the adults wrist and has a buckle which allows it to be pulled tight.
