Abstract
The seat is hinged to a rocking frame and characterised by a crosswise fitted inverted "U"-shaped handle (5), which is hinged at its ends to the side supports(2), on which the frame rocks. The handle may also form the front bow of a foldable hood which is removably-mounted to said seat and handle. The seat frame may also include a horizontal "U"-shaped sub-frame with removably-mounted means of support on the rim of the front half of the frame positioning it at a higher level. The sub-frame and the front half of the seat can be hidden by a cover that is also removably-mounted and which forms a foot rest.
Description
Baby buggy seat This invention refers to a baby buggy seat.
There are already seats that attach to the baby buggy by means of a frame that rocs on its ntermediate point, and flexible type seats or those formed by a combination of back supports, seat and rigid foot rests all hinged together, are attached to said rockIng frame by their ends, so that when the seat is laid bac. the mentioned unit is practically horizontal.
The utility model ES-U1031360, which is the property of the current entity applying for the patent. refers to one of those specific seats that is removably-mounted to the buggy frame, thus allowing the seat to be positioned in the direction of travel, or in reverse. and tne seat can be attached to the buggy to substitute a carry cot when the infant is old enough to sit upright.
The object of this invention is to improve this type of seat by fitting it with a handle so it may be trtns- ported when the seat is removed from the buggy, and also, with the means with which to convert the seat r.lo a carry cot with a hood.
Therefore, the crosswise fItted handle in an inverted !'U'! shape, hinged by its ends of rhe side supports on which the frame rocks, is characteristic of this seat. Said handle forms the front bow of a foldable hood which is removably-mounted to said seat and handle.
Also characteristic is the fact that the frame includes, as an accessory, a "U"-shaped horizontal subframe and that this has removably-mounted means of support on the edge of the front half of the frame which is on a higher level. Said sub-frame and the front half of the seat are hidden by a cover which s also removably-mounted and which provides foot protection. The subsequent arrangement of a cover on the seat and the positioning on said cover, of a leg blanket, also removably-mounted to the cover and hood, converts the seat into a carry-cot.
These and other features are further explained in the detailed description that follows, and in the two pages of drawings included for additional explanation which show a practical application, only as an unlimiting example of the invention scope.
In the drawings:
Figure 1 shows, in perspective, the seat, fitted with the handle,
Figure 2 shows, in perspective, the sub-frame ;n tne front half of the seat
Figure 3 shows, also in perspective, the front part of the seat fitted with the mentioned sub-frame and the cover that hides it,
Figure 4 shows in perspective the seat converted into a carry cot with hood, and
Figure 5 shows, also in perspective, a detailed view of the joint between the hood and handle,
The seat represented in the drawings corresponds to the one that is the object of utility model number
U9501241 and, in iine with the drawings, includes a rectangular frame with curved corners that is hidden by upholstery -1- and which on its intermediate point cn its sides, rocks on respective side supports -2- by means of appropriate bearings -j-. The seat of said rare has directly attached means -4- to position the seat at different angles.
The seat characteristically has an inverted "U"shaped handle -5- which is fitted crosswise and hinged by its ends to the side supports -2- by means of a evince -6- that locks the seat in various positions.
This handle forms the front bow of the hood -7 (Figure 4) which includes a further two bows -8- and -9within the upholstery that allow said hood to fold. This hood is removably-mounted to the seat and handle by snap fasteners -10-.
The front edge of the hood has a fluffy thickener -11- arcund a core and there is an opening -12 in the top part of this edge, which leaves the central section of the handle -5- free, where a grip -13- is strung to make the seat easier to hold and therefore, carry.
It is also characteristic of this seat that the frame includes a horizontal "U"-shaped sub-frame -14- as an accessory, which has removably-mounted means of support on the edge -15- of the front half of the frame where said means of support are formed by some feet -16which have respective clamps -17- at their lower ends. so that once said sub-frame is hinged. it is positioned at a higher level (Figure 3). This sub-frame -1X- and the front half -18- of the seat are hidden by a positioned cover -19- which has an elastic outside rirn -20- fitted with tensors -21- and a core on the inside rim. -22-.
and said cover is removably-mounted by means of snap fasteners -29- and provides foot protection for the carry cot into which the seat is converted.
The carry cot is completed with the positioning a cover (not shown in the drawings, that goes over the seat and the placing cf a leg blanket -24-. over the over -19-, which is also attacked by snap fasteners -25to the mentioned cover ana hood
Once the seat is removed from the buggy. it can be let down on the floor where it is stabilised by feet -26and -27-.
It is understood that both the handle and the hood and also the means of converting the seat into a carry cot can be apple to seats other than the one iliustrated.
