Shaft couplings of the kind in which shaft ends each carry a metal coupling member which has radial teeth such as c, f engaging recesses in an intermediate elastic member a. One metal member is a disc a with a peripheral flange a<1> carrying the teeth f. The smaller metal member b has an upstanding flange, j and teeth e extending right through the thickness of the elastic member g. The elastic member can thus be gripped and squeezed between the disc a and the flange j.
