Abstract

228,601. Trickett, J. J. W. Nov. 1, 1923. Slippers; uppers.-The upper b of a slipper is provided, in place of the usual tongue at the top front edge, with a protruding part a shaped to represent an animal's head, or a human head. This part is printed, painted, or otherwise treated before or after the upper is cut out and this painting &c. may be supplemented by a further design on the toe part of the upper. Beads, tinsel, &c. may be used in obtaining the desired representation. According to the Provisional Specification there may be more than one protruding part cut to the outline of a toy or other inanimate object.
