Abstract

345,482. Boots &c. WOOD, F. A., 9, Askew Road, Shepherds Bush, London. March 13, 1930, No. 8172. [Class 17 (ii).] A rand 1 is secured around a shoe &c. with its lower surface projecting below the bottom of the insole 2 by the same stitches which connect the upper 3 and insole 2. The rand is preferably slit on its outer edge, as shown, and the stitches 4 pass through the edge of the insole 2. An outer sole, preferably of crepe rubber, and preferably in two layers 5a, 5b, is secured in the cavity under the insole.
