Description
ROPE LOCKING DEVICE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Ropes of rather big size or roung strong rubber ropes are commonly used for binding freight, goods or merchandise loaded on a truck or pick-up firmly for transportation. A worker has to stop a while when the rope is to be bound around a corner of the freight, then the rope may be loosened a little, and in addition, in case the freight is quite bulky, it takes not a little time and labor, extremely inconvenient to handle in binding.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This invention has been devised to offer a kind of rope locking device for binding freight, goods or merchandise loaded on a truck or a pick-up with little time and labor.
The rope locking device in the present invention includes a plurality of rope stoppers or rope buckles pivotally combined together, the same number of ropes of adjustable length combined with the rope stoppers to be adjustably cramped by the rope stoppers so as to adjust the length of the ropes to be bound on freight, goods or merchandise loaded on a truck or a pick-up, and an outer end of each rope is bound on a hook possible to be hooked on a hook of a truck or a pick-up so that the ropes can be stretched tightly thereon.
One of the rope stoppers or the rope buckles in the rope locking device can be replacecd by a simple rope hanger having only a rope slot for binding one end of a rope of present definite length and the other end of the rope bound on a hook for hooking with a hook of a truck, a pick-up, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
A first embodiment of a rope locking device in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 includes four rope stoppers 1, four ropes 2, and four hooks 3 and a pin 4 combined together.
Each rope stopper 1 has two opposite side walls 11, 11 bent up from a bottom plate, a slot 12 in each side wall 11, and a stop rod 13 having two flat both ends to fit loosely in the slots 12, 12 and to move right and left therein a little, an intermediate round portion with a rough outer surface for stopping a rope 2 wound on the stop rod 13 when the rope 2 is pulled tense. The rope 2 has an outer end bound on a hook and an inner end free, and the length of the rope from the outer end to the stop rod 13 can be adjusted. And each rope stopper 1 has a little long side for putting on the little long sides of the other three stoppers 1 so that the pivot pin 4 can insert for combining together, allowing the four rope stoppers 1 extending in four directions spaced with a right angle, 90.
A second embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 3, includes three rope stoppers 1, one rope hanger 6, three ropes 2 of adjustable length, one rope 2' of preset definite length, four hooks 3 and a pivot pin 4 combined together. The rope stoppers 1 and the three ropes 2 are structured just the same as those in the first embodiment. The rope hanger 6 is shaped as a rectangular plate, having a rope slot 65 in an outer side for an inner end of the rope 2' to pass through and bent a little to be sewn together to surround the end of the hanger 6 to hold the rope 2' with the hanger 6 firmly, and the outer end of the rope 2' is bound on the hook 3 to hook on a hook of a truck or something.
A third embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 4 includes three rope stoppers 1, three ropes 2, and three hooks 3, and a pivot pin 4 combined together. The rope stoppers 1 and the ropes 2, the hooks 3 and the pivot pin 4 are all the same as those in the first embodiment, and the rope stoppers 1 are spaced apart in three directions with different angles, fixed firmly by means of the pivot pin 4.
A fourth embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 5, includes two rope stoppers 1, 1, a rope hanger 6, two ropes 2, 2, of adjustable length, a rope 2' of a preset definite length, three hooks 3 and a pivot pin 4 pivotally combining the two rope stoppers 1, 1 and the rope hanger 6 together. The rope stoppers 1, 1, the two ropes 2, 2, the three hooks 3 and the pivot pin 4 are the same as those in the first embodiment.
A fifth embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 6 includes three buckles 5, three ropes 2 of adjustable length, three hooks 3 and a pin 4 pivotally combining the three buckles 5 together. Each buckles 5 has two opposite side walls 50, 50 bent up from a bottom plate, a push plate 52 pivotally sustained between the two side walls 50, 50 by means of a rod pin 52, a torque spring 53 fitted around the rod pin 52 to push the push plate 52 to let one end of the push plate usually compress on the bottom plate so as to lock down a rope 2, which extends between the push plate 52 and the bottom plate. When the other end of the push plate 52 is pressed, the end compressing the rope 2 can be raised up to free the rope 2 for adjusting its length to be cramped by the push plate 52. Each rope 2 has its outer end bound on a hook 3 to be hooked on a hook of a truck or something.
A sixth embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 7, includes two buckles 5, 5, a rope hanger 6, two ropes 2, 2 of adjustable length, rope 2' of preset definite length, three hooks 3 and a pivot pin 4 combined together. The two buckles 5, 5, the ropes 2, 2, the hooks 3 and the pin 4 are the same as those in the fifth embodiments, and the rope hanger 6 and rope 2' are the same as those in the fourth embodiment.
A seventh embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 8, includes four buckles 5 pivotally combined as a cross-shape by means of a pivot pin 4, four ropes 2 of adjustable length, and four hooks 3 combined together. The buckles 5, the ropes 2, the hooks 3 and the pivot pin 4 are the same as those in the fifth embodiment.
An eighth embodiment of the rope locking device, as shown in FIG. 9 includes three buckles 5, a rope stopper 1, four ropes 2, four hooks and a pin 4 pivotally combining the three buckles 5 and the rope stopper 1 together. The three buckles 5, the four ropes 2, the hooks 3 and the pivot pin 4 are the same as those in the fifth embodiment, and the rope stopper 1 is the same as that in the first embodiment.
How the rope locking device in the present invention is used is shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, in which various embodiments are selected for binding stably freight 8 loaded on a truck or a pick-up 8, with the ropes 2 of adjustable length and the rope 2' of preset definite length properly laid on the freight and with the hooks 3 hooked hooks 71 of the truck or a pick-up 7.
A user can choose to use various embodiments of the rope locking device for binding freight, goods or merchandise, depending on the form or the condition of the freight.
While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications which may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
