Abstract

A vehicle anti-theft apparatus comprises a keypad operated solenoid valve located in the vehicle brake line, the valve, when closed by a keypad operation after depressing the brake pedal, maintaining the brakes in the ON condition. Opening of the valve to return the brakes to normal will only be achieved by entering the correct code into the keypad. The apparatus also includes motion sensors by means of which valve closure is prevented when the vehicle is in motion. <IMAGE>

Description

WHEEL LOCKING DEVICE: This device (invention) relates to a wheel locking device.
Alarms and such are constantly being used to stop car theft.
whereby if a car is bieng stollen the said device is supposed to stop them from stealing it.Whowever due to some research I disscover this is not stoping cars bieng stolen.
These alarms are however very expensive and are no longer doing the job required of them.
This invention will stop the car bieng moved without the owners permission,by means of locking the wheels and unless the person in the car knows the code to take of the system the wheels will remain in lock mode.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in whitch: FIGURE (1) shows the inventions components and how the device is worked.
WHEEL LOCKING DEVICE Refering to the drawing the device comprises of a solenoid(l),a control unit (2),a keypad (3) and a safty device on wheels (4).
In order to set the device, before switching off engine you depress the brake pedal then set the system.This. in turn locks solenoid in posision, keeping presure on the servo (holding on the brakes). Then turn of engine and leave car.
When entering car owner must enter correct code otherwise car brakes are on and so car cannot be moved even if started.
Only when correct code is entered into keypad the brakes return to normal.
A safty device(connection) is on the wheels for motion sensors so thatthe system cannot be operated unless wheels are stationary This is purely as a fail safe device.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIMS:
    1) a wheel locking device coprising of a control unit,a solenoid this being adapted to lock in each position,a keypad for arming and disarming device and also a sensor for each wheel, for a fail safe device.
    2) a wheel locking device as claimed in claim 1, whererin a solenoid locks off the presure on the servo thus holding the brakes on.
    3) a wheel lockir:g device as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 wherein a keypad is situated to set and reset the system.
