Abstract

White lead of greater density than usual is produced by precipitation from solutions of basic lead acetate of a concentration of about 32-34 DEG B<\>ae., the precipitation being finished when the density of the solution is about 17-18 DEG B<\>ae. The precipitation is preferably effected at low temperatures, such as 0 DEG C. or lower.
