Abstract

226,198. Deschiens, V. Dec. 14, 1923, [Convention date.]. Gun cartridges.-A flat-ended wad for use in sporting guns is made with one or more annular grooves or series of recesses A<1>. The wad may be of cork, fibre, wood or felt of a single piece B. Fig. 2, or built up of layers B<1>, C<1>, D', Fig. 5, of full diameter separated by layers F, E of smaller diameter. These intermediate layers may be shaped as shown in Fig. 6 to ensure their central alignment with the others.
