Abstract

224,364. Silverwood, A., and Banks, J. W. Oct. 26, 1923. Jigger machines are provided with means to straighten the fabric laterally comprising a swing- ing frame F pivoted on a shaft B and carrying curved expander rollers C and guide rollers R, R<1> above the main rollers A, A<1>. The fabric in passing from one main roller A, A<1> to the other passes over the roller R, under and over the rollers C and under one or other of the guide rollers R. In operation, one or other of the rollers R<1> will be in contact with the fabric on one of the main rollers. The frame has a weighted lever W which can be locked in the position shown in full lines in Fig. 2.
