Abstract

The electrophotographic toner composition comprising a colorant dispersed in a binder resin according to the present invention is characterized in that the binder resin comprises a polyester resin of an acid value of below 5 prepared by the reaction of a starting polyester resin of an acid value of 5 to 50 with a glycidylic compound having at least one glycidyl group which can react with the remaining carboxyl groups of said polyester resin. This composition has remarkably improved environmental characteristics as compared with the conventional toner composition while retaining moderate offset resistance, blocking resistance, and low-temperature fixability, so that it can be suitably used as the electrophotographic toner composition for both high-speed and full-color copiers.
