Abstract

1467787 Polymeric electrostatographic toners CANON KK 7 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 5364/75 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] An electrostatographic toner comprises a binder resin which comprises 15 wt. per cent or more, based on the weight of the binder resin, of a styrene/butadiene copolymer containing 70-95 mole per cent of styrene. The binder resin may also comprise one or more of: chlorinated paraffins, polyesters, polystyrene, epoxy resins, polyterpenes, P.V.C., styrene/methyl methacrylate copolymers and phenolic resins. Preferred toners are coloured, and in the examples carbon black, and a black dye, are used for this purpose.
