221,516. Textilpatentges, (Assignees of Farbwerke vorm. Meister, Lucius, & Briining). Sept. 8, 1923, [Convention date]. Liquids, treating with.-Vegetable fibres, yarns or woven fabrics after treatment with concentrated nitric acid, or other acids, are treated with pyridine or an homologue thereof such as a picoline or a lutidine in a gaseous or liquid form, or in aqueous solution, or with a mixture thereof with ammonia whereby the properties of the materials are improved, and they are given a woollen or linen like appearance. The treatment with pyridine &c. or pyridine and water may be preceded or followed by a treatment with ammonia. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to derivatives of pyridine. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
