A trolley for supporting baskets for laundry and clothes pegs comprises a collapsible frame 1 having wheels 4 and a supporting leg 4. A struct 3 holds the frame at a convenient height. <IMAGE>

Description

LAUNDRY BASKET TROLLEY This invention relates to a laundry basket trolley.
Laundry baskets are well known in the household for the purpose of placing into wet laundry or washing taken from the sink or washing machine, this then being carried from the house to the washing line outside. The basket is then placed on the ground while the individual items are removed and pegged onto the line.
This necessitates moving the basket along in the direction of the washing line from time to time as the line is being filled. The basket is used in a similar way when the dry laundry is being collected in.
A basket of wet laundry can be heavy and picking out items from ground level can be hard on the person's back; especially while holding a number of clothing pegs in the hand. It would be convenient if the pegs could be stored near the laundry basket.
According to the present invention there is provided a laundry basket trolley comprising a frame with wheels and a supporting leg whereby the invention can be easily moved.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the trolley assembled and standing with a basket about to be placed on it. A small basket for clothing pegs is also shown.
Referring to the drawing the trolley comprises a wheeled frame 1 which is collapsible about a rod or tube 2 which forms a pivot. One part of the frame has wheels while the other has a supporting leg 4. A strut 3 is provided to hold the assembly at a convenient height.
A laundry basket can be easily placed onto the trolley and will be supported at its base by rod 2 and around its upper parts by the shaped frame members. The frame is further provided with a handle 5 which is so shaped that a small basket (plastic or other) can be placed in it; this being suitable for the storage of clothing pegs. This handle enables the user to move the trolley along whilst the laundry is being hung out on the line or removed therefrom.

Claims (8)

1. A laundry basket trolley comprising a frame with wheels and a supporting leg providing a means for a laundry basket to be easily moved at a convenient height.
2. A laundry basket trolley as claimed in claim 1 wherein the wheels are made wider to provide improved stability and movement on soft ground.
3. A laundry basket trolley as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 wherein the supporting leg is fitted with a wider foot to provide improved stability and less tendency to sink into soft ground.
4. A laundry basket trolley as claimed in Claims 1, 2 and 3 wherein the frame is provided with a handle to enable user to move the trolley along.
5. k laundry basket trolley as claimed in any preceeding claim and particularly as in Claim 4 wherein the handle is constructed and shaped such that a small basket will fit into it as a receptacle for clothing pegs as shewn in Fig 1 of the accompanying drawing.
6. A laundry basket trolley as claimed in any preceeding claim wherein the frame is provided with a hook for the purpose of attaching a bag or other receptacle for storing clothing pegs.
7. A laundry basket trolley substantially as described herein with reference to Fig 1 cf the accompanying drawing.
8. A laundry basket trolley as claimed in any preceeding claim wherein the frame can be made in varying shapes to suit the various shapes of laundry baskets available.
