The frame 1 of a hand truck is preferably oval with a single propelling handle 2A and is pivotally carried on two parallel substantially upright members 4 interconnected at their lower ends by an axle carrying the wheels 6, the third support being a centrally disposed member 7 which is connected to the axle by a pivoted link 9, the whole being maintained in the erected position by a break-joint strut 10, 11.
