Abstract

A support member for clothes hangers has a hook portion which engages over the top of a door, an arm which extends away from the door, and a further arm 2 which extends back to brace against the door. Protection pads can be provided on the door engaging portions. <IMAGE>

Description

SPACE HANGER DOOR HANGING LAUNDRY AID This invention is a hook over door hanger, which is used as an aid in the laundry room, for hanging ironed shirts etc, on their own hangers. This then prevents the usual creasing of newly ironed clothes and articles.

The Space Hanger is a one piece moulded hanger, which can be made of either plastic or perspex. The shape of the hanger, this has been designed with a back support for placing over the top and the back of the door, for location and stability. A support bar with adjacent side support is then in position on the front of the door. The Space Hanger has Felt pads on the inside areas in contact with the door to prevent scratching the door.

Iwhen set in this position the coat hangers with ironed articles on, can be placed at convenient intervals on the Space Hanger, all along the protruding support bar, at the front of the door.

The accompanying drawings show the invention and it's application.

Fig. 1 shows in perspective the Space Hanger.

Fig. 2 shows how the hangers fit onto the door, note more than once can be placed on the door if required.

The Space Hanger has as shown at point 1 felt pads to protect door surfaces fron scuffing.

Point 2 the Space Hanger, coat hanger support bar with adequate space for several coat hangers to be hung on.

Points 3 and 4 are the front gripping pads. Point 3 being the pad that has to be hooked over the open door.

Point 6 shows how more than one hanger can be placed on an open door 5, with enough space to have coat hangers side by side on the same side of the door.

A Space Hanger can be easily hooked over an open door and is immediately ready to have the coat hangers placed on the support bar.

The felt pads provide sufficient grip on both sides of the door without damaging the door surfaces.

Space Hangers will be of a lightweight construction durable and easy to store away when not in use.

More than once can be used on the same'door at the same time.

The Space Hanger takes up to six coat hangers of various sizes.

The Space Hanger will have a flat cross section to add to it's support stability.

The Space Hanger enables ironed clothes to dry and air more efficiently, and at a height where they are less lightly to get knocked down.

The Space Hanger located in position on the open door is ready to receive the coat hangers and ironed clothes. More Space Hangers can be located as required. When required the complete Space Hanger filled with hung clothes can be easily lifted off the door, and carried tothere the clothes are to be stored, without creasing the articles, and in one simple journey.

Claims

1. A Space Hanger has a constructed form of a clip over support hook, for securing an anchorage. Running from the support hook the main angle bar then has the task of incorporating a back up balance bar for stabilizing the support hook with the horizontal bar.

2. The object of this as in claim 1 enables coat hangers to be hung across the length of the horizontal bar, protection pads are fixed on support hooks that are in direct contact with the front and back of the door being used.
