Abstract

219,480. Marks, A. R., (Starr, F. E.). July 12, 1923. Collars, linen and like.-To ease double collars for more readily adjusting the neck-tie a device is provided consisting of a member a which is passed tranversely between the folds of a collar and co-operates with a spacing-device d which serves to keep the top of the member a from entering up as far as the fold of the collar. A pair of outer members c embrace the top and band of the collar. The spacing-device may be in the form of a roller mounted on a pin carried by the outer members c. In this construction, the intermediate member a is separate from the outer members and passes into the handle portion. The outer members embrace the intermediate member and are cranked to provide the space for the collar which space is made adjustable by means of a knurled nut engaging a screw-threaded part of the pin carrying the roller.
