344,343. Collars and shirts. FEETEAM, J. W. C., Clyde Bungalow, Brookville, Brandon, Suffolk. Nov. 1, 1929, No. 33287. [Class 141.] A necktie may be secured to the neckband of a shirt independently of the collar and the collar and neck-band are provided with interengageable means whereby the collar is secured in wearing position with the neck-band between the collar top and collar band. As shown in Fig. 3, the neck-band of the shirt is provided with a sheath in which the necktie is placed, and in Fig. 1 is shown a collar with tabs 2 which engage holes 3 in the neck-band of the shirt, the neck-band in the wearing position, shown in Fig. 4, being placed between the two folds of the collar. Loops 6 may be provided for the necktie which emerges through slots 5 to the outside of the collar for tying. Slots 7 are provided in the collar for assisting the set of the collar. In another construction, the necktie comprises short lengths attached to T-shaped elements which engage slots in the neck-band of the shirt. Stiffeners, such as shown in Fig. 6, may be provided for soft collars, such stiffeners being provided with tags for passing through a hole or holes in the neck-band of the shirt.
