Description

SPECIFICATION New electronic game This invention relates to an electronic device which is used in a new sport.
We know that the best way to keep fit, is to play either an individual or a collective sport. In all sports you have to purchase a moreless expensive equipment and have enough passion and determination to carry on practising. However, many people give up playing in the very beginning for a variety of reasons, amongst them: the sport is too hard to play, expensive, boring, or simply not suitable.
According to the present invention, this new sport can be played by one or more players in a simple area like a room. The equipments used are: one board4argetfixed on a wall, an electronic counter linked to the target, and a special ball.
There are a number of advantages to this sport quite apart from the potential for commercial development: -There is no special equipment needed for the players apart from the target and the counter which can be used by any number of players.
- Players can evaluate their performance accurately from the counter.
- Accuracy of scoring enables undisputed records to be established.
-The sport can be played by all categories of the population, and it would help to improve performances for other sports.
- Fast, exciting play.
With reference to the accompanying drawing a description of the sport is given below: Figure 1 shows a complete view of the game, including, one player, a sensitive board4arget, and an electronic counter-display. The board consists of one, two or three concentric circles.
The play starts by serving as in ping-pong, using either right or left hand palm. When the ball rebounds from the target it is returned with the other hand. The aim is to throw the ball successfully against the board as many times (and score as many points) as possible within an agreed period.
The highest score obviously is given to the smail circle in the centre of the board, which can be say three points. Consequently, for the middle and outer circles the electronic counter should be increased by less points say two and one.
Aspecial ball is used, larger and lighter than a squash raquet ball but heavier than a ping-pong ball.
The board is set on a wall approximately at average chest height from the floor The electronic counter is put in a safe and easily seen place by both players and spectators.
1.A A new electronic game which can be regarded as a sport which involves the use of three equipments: a sensitive board-target, an electronic counter, and a special palm ball.
2. A new electronic game as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sensitive board-target is divided into one, two or three zones separated by concentric circles. Each zone contains an electronic transducer to pick up the sound caused by the bouncing ball and convert it to an electronic pulses able to drive the counter.
3. A new electronic game as claimed in claim 2, wherein the scoring points vary from one zone to another, the highest score is given to the inner zone.
4. A new electronic game, as claimed in claim 1, wherein a counter is used to count how many times the ball hits the sensitive target.
5. A new electronic game, as claimed in claim 1 wherein a special palm ball is used.
6. A new electronic game substantially as described herein with reference to Figure 1--2 of the accompanying drawing.
