Ball bearings.-A. ball thrust bearing, for differential driving axles of motor vehicles, positioned between the gear casing and the adjacent axle casing boss, comprises a race ring a recessed at e to engage the boss and a comparatively thin ring b secured to the rotatable differential gear casing. The ring a has notches f passing over webs on the boss and between the notches f are spherical seating g for the balls h, the mouth of the seatings being burred over to retain the balls. The ring b has a continuous ball groove.
